    A debut winner over this course Jan. 22, ADORABLE MISS was subsequently shelved and returned a winner in the Honey Ryder S. May 6. Third in the Penn Oaks last time June 3, she was heavily favored to return to winning ways here. Pressing from second as Katinka set soft early fractions, Adorable Miss swept past the pacesetter in the lane and edged clear to score. The winner is catalogued to the upcoming Fasig-Tipton July Horses of Racing Age sale as hip 403.  Her dam, who is a daughter of GISW Favorite Funtime (Seeking the Gold), was bred back to Kittens Joy.

    Running third was Kitten's Joy daughter Fancy Kitten owned by Juan Centeno.

    Godolphin's Hawkbill is likely to return to France for his next outing after getting back to winning ways at Newbury on Saturday. Last year's G1 Coral-Eclipse winner had his pipe-opener when fifth in the G1 Prix Ganay before gaining his first win since the Sandown Group 1. Stepping up to a mile and a half appeared to suit and he yet again proved his effectiveness on soft ground. "We know that he preferssoft ground, so we will be looking next to the G2 Grand Prix de Chantilly [June 4]." trainer Charlie Appleby told www.godolphin.com. "Obviously, we will be constantly watching the weather. If he can run at Chantilly, we might then give him a little summer break and bring him back in the Autumn, when there is a better chance of getting his ground."

    Ramseys, Maker Repeat at Turfway: Ken and Sarah Ramsey were the leading owners at Turfway Park for the 12th time when racing concluded at the Florence, Kentucky track's winter/spring meet Apr. 1. The Ramseys, who were also the leading owners at Gulfstream=s championship meet which concluded Sunday, sent out 12 winners from 40 Turfway starters. Mike Maker earned hisfifth consecutive Turfway training title, and 19th overall, saddling 27 winners during the 46-day meeting. Alonso Quinonez captured the first riding title of his career with 50 wins from 266 mounts. Racing returns to Turfway Nov. 29.

    EDEN GREY'S KITTEN sprinted to a win in the 5 1/2 furlong Costa Rising S on the turf at the Fair Grounds.He is owned by Whispering Oaks Farm LLC and has earned over 1/4 of a million dollars. Also at the Fair Grounds, the Ramsey's MSW OSCAR NOMINATED ran third in the G2- Muniz Memorial H. He has earned over 3/4 of a million dollars. 

    Add to that SADDLER'S JOY won the 1-1/2T G2- Pan American S at Gulffstream. He is a homebred for Woodslane Farm and has earned over $300,000. "I got really excited the first time I ever saw this horse run, the way he finished, and it took him a couple of races to kind of put things together," recalled trainer Tom Albertrani. "All of sudden, once we got to Saratoga, he broke his maiden and came back with two more nice wins. We gave him a little time. We just felt this horse had a lot of potential.. I think he's got so much potential, this horse."

    Also at Gulfstream multiple graded stakes placed Quiet Kitten ran third in the 1-3/8T G3- Orchid S  for owner Crossed Sabres Farm LLC. The 5 year old mare has also earned over 3/4 of a million dollars.

    ADORABLE MISS  showed good speed and gameness to earn her diploma first out at Gulfstream, becoming the third debut winner on the day for the Todd Pletcher barn. Coming in off a good series of works on both dirt and turf at Palm Beach Downs, capped off by a five-furlong main track breeze in 1:00 4/5 (2/20) Jan. 14, she  tracked the speed from third at 9-2 through a :24.52 quarter. Moving up to within a head of the front passing a :48.30 half, the bay took over nearing the top of the stretch and dug in to repel her stretch rival by a neck.     Keystoneforvictory capped an eventful Saturday at Gulfstream Park with a narrow victory in the $125,000 Claiming Crown Emerald, the last of nine races in the 2016 Claiming Crown series at the south Florida track.

    The only 3-year-old in a full gate of 14 turf routers, Keystoneforvictory held off late-running Flashy Chelsey by a neck in prevailing for owners Ken and Sarah Ramsey and trainer Mike Maker, the all-time wins leaders in Claiming Crown history in their respective categories.

    Jose Ortiz was aboard Keystoneforvictory, a Kentucky-bred son of Shakespeare. The colt returned $8.60 to win as the lukewarm favorite after finishing 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.09 over a firm turf.

    “I thought Jose did a wonderful job,” said Ken Ramsey. “This might be our horse for the Barbados Gold Cup in March.”

    Miami Mile (gr. IIIT) winner Smokem Kitten  tied for the best Equibase Speed Figures this past week. Ken and Sarah Ramsey's homebred Smokem Kitten registered his first stakes win with a front-running score on the Gulfstream Park turf April 30, earning a career-best ESF of 116. Trained by Mike Maker, the 4-year-old Kitten's Joy colt has improved his ESF in four straight races, dating back to his final start of 2015. Smokem Kitten entered the Miami Mile off a 5 1/2-length allowance optional claiming victory March 20 on the Gulfstream turf, where he earned a 115

    Already a stakes winner at 2, AVA'S KITTEN added graded black type running a strong second in the Appalachian S. Presented by Japan Racing Association - Gr. 3 at Keeneland for the Ramseys and trainer Chad Brown. 

    On the same card  4 year old stakes winning colt, TWEET KITTEN won an allowance race going 1 1/2 of the turf. He broke his maiden last fall and thereafter he scored an upset in the Bryan Station S. After a winter break, the homebred went off the favorite in this route at Keeneland. He waited in 5 th and then began to rally midway on the far turn and charged to clear the field in the shadow of the wire. He is closing on $200,000 in earnings.

    GSW INTERNATIONAL STAR, winner of last year's Louisiana Derby G2, was placed second in the New Orlean's H  G2 due to interference in the stretch to up his earnings over $1,150,000 for the Ramseys.

    Eden Grey`s Kitten added black type, running second sprinting in the Costa Rising S at the Fair Grounds and has raised his earnings over $149,000. He is owned by Whispering Oaks Farm LLC.   

    At Santa Anita, Fresh Feline ran third in the G2- Santa Ana S  adding graded black type to her pedigree for owner Lazy F Ranch. She has earned over $213,000.

    Add to that, at Gulfstream, Lucky Kitten won for the 9th time and upped his earnings over $158,000. He was claimed out of the race and we wish his new connections the best.

    INTERNATIONAL STAR  took the sophomore series here last year-- the G3 LeComte S. in January, G2 Risen Star S. in February and G2 Louisiana Derby in March--but had  to scratch the morning of the GI Kentucky Derby. Back at the Fair Grounds in the Louisiana S , the Ramsey representative was guided bided his time on the rail well off the pace. A rival caught up to the leaders and looked like he might run away with it, but International Star came wider and blew by to remain unbeaten in the Big Easy. He has earned $1,066,629.
